I’ve been listening to too many comic related podcasts, apparently. Immediately (read: two months later) following up my Spiderman post comes a Harley Quinn drawing. I thought it would be fun to try my hand at a painted comic look, like Alex Ross and others have done. I don’t understand lighting well enough to get the same results that those guys do, but I think this is one of my better pieces.
The pose was meant to imply that she’s off-balance, both in a physical sense (that she’s goofing off) and also in the mental sense. No idea if that’s conveyed well or if the pose just looks weird. =P
